As we dive deeper into the second half of the 2022 Bundesliga season, it's all about Bayern. This season
is there's to lose, and with a commanding eight-point lead over second-place Dortmund, we think it's going to be a challenge for anyone to catch them unless
Bayern starts making serious mistakes.
Bayern has Championship football responsibilities, facing off against RB Salzburg at home in early March. It
looks to be a competitive game, and we can bet that that will take a toll on the players and the first team squad moving into the last quarter of the
Bundesliga season.
In contrast, Dortmund doesn't have any remaining Champions league responsibilities. Marco Roses' men look to focus on the final
stretch of the season, while Bayern continues to stretch itself to reach the quarterfinals.
With Bayern being the favorite over RB Salzburg and the
home-ground advantage, they look to be a shoo-in for the quarterfinals and a further strain on the squad. Whether Dortmund can capitalize on any Bayern
mistakes is the question. With the team being eight points behind, they need three wins and Bayern to slip as we approach the last quarter of the
season.

Bundesliga Title Favorites 2022
As no surprise, Bayern Munich continues
to dominate the German league, and they are the clear favorites to take the tile in the 2022 season. That would make ten back-to-back titles in a row and a
decade of Domination for the squad.
Borussia Dortmund has their work cut out for them if they want to upset Bayern's 10th title in ten years. Sitting
eight points behind the leader, they can't afford any mistakes going into the season's final stage.
The Klassiker rivals look set to be the top
contenders for the title, with Bayern coming back from its pre-winter slump to return to its winning ways. Dortmund doesn't look as convincing as we would
expect, especially after sustaining the 5 – 2 defeat against Bayer Leverkusen.
Leverkusen sits third on the table. However, they are six points off
Dortmund and twelve away from catching Bayern, making them an outside threat. SC Freiburg sits back on 40-points, and with an 18-point gap between them and the
leaders, we don't see them presenting any danger to Bayern this season.
At the end of the season, it's going to come down to whether Bayern makes
mistakes and if Dortmund manages to clean up after them to capitalize on those mistakes. We'll see what happens. With the Champions League kicking off the
second leg of the Round of 16 next week, we'll see if that has any impact on Bayern's domestic league performance.
Watching the Bottom of the Bundesliga Table
The relegation battle at the bottom of the Bundesliga continues. Greuther Furth and
VfB Stuttgart look to be locked in a struggle, and it's Stuttgart that has the upper hand at the moment, sitting on 19 points while Furth lags with 14-points
and three wins this season.
