Betting Breeders' Cup Guide
- Who Will Win the Mile |
|
|
|
|
The Breeders' Cup Mile
is a 1-mile (1.6 km) Grade 1 stakes race for thoroughbred racehorses three
years old and up. Unlike some other Breeders' Cup races it is run on grass and
not on dirt.
The Mile will probably be the tightest race in this
weekend's schedule and many bookmakers have already come out with odds for each
horse. When these odds are compared, it is easy to see that there are at least
nine closely priced horses which might nick victory.
Breeders
cup 2018 odds are usually a good indicator of how well each horse will
place and if the odds for the Mile are anything to go by then horses such as
Polydream, Expert Eye, Oscar Performance, I Can Fly, One Master, Gustav Klimt,
Happily, and even Lightning Spear and Mustashry are all good betting
propositions if you decide to place a bet with a chance of
winning.
However, only one horse can win the race, and out of this
illustrious group of horses only one can be the winning betting proposition.
That's why we have decided to make a short guide as to which three horses have
the highest chance of winning the Mile.
Polydream Polydream is
an Irish horse which is three years old and which is trained by legendary
Freddy Head and is currently considered as the biggest favourite to win the
Breeders' Cup 2018 edition of the Mile.
Polydream is an Irish horse
which is three years old and which is trained by legendary Freddy Head and is
currently considered as the biggest favourite to win the Breeders' Cup 2018
edition of the Mile.
The bay filly has been involved in four races this
year and of those has managed to win two and it was exactly at those two races
that she was considered as a favourite. This means that the filly owned by
Wertheimer & Frere is able to perform well when having the favourites tag
and that should encourage punters to back her to win the Mile.
Expert
Eye Expert Eye is a three year old bay colt that is trained by the
renowned Sir Michael Stoute. Stoute has always managed to get the best out of
his horses and Expert Eye is no different.
The colt comes at the Mile as
a close second favourite for victory and that should come as no surprise as he
was runner-up in the Sussex Stakes and was third in the Prix du Moulin at
ParisLongchamp.
Stoute was thinking as to whether he should take Expert Eye to
the Breeders' Cup for some time, but ultimately decided to go to Churchill
Downs as he knows that Expert Eye is a horse which is currently in good
shape.
One Master One Master is a four year old bay filly that
has had mixed success in the four races she ran this year, winning two and
finishing two in third and fourth. She is not as strong favourite as Polydream
or Expert Eye, but because of this also comes with higher odds and currently if
you bet £1 on her, you will win more than £20 which is always
important in our books. |
