IGT Reveals ‘Innovation at Play’
at 2016’s G2E Conference

IGT is easily one of the most dominant companies in casino gaming and seeing what they have in store by way of new releases and ideas at industry conferences is one of the high points of any player’s year. With G2E 2016 coming up from September 26th-29th, there is not long to wait until one of the biggest Las Vegas shows of the year and, as anyone will expect, IGT will have a strong showing. At booth 3659, industry insiders, visitors and players alike will be able to see first-hand what the developer means by its current show tagline of ‘Innovation at Play’.

This is expected to be one of IGT’s strongest showings of recent years and one of the must see events at G2E itself, with brand new cabinets on display and more than twenty brand new games on show. It will, for example, be the first time that anyone will have encountered the new CrystalCurve ULTRA cabinet, with a 32-inch curved touchscreen displaying the main gaming content and a portrait, 50-inch curved display sitting above it for incidental information, video clips and much more. Among the games already announced for this cabinet are the branded The Ellen DeGeneres Show – Sharing the Live and The Goonies video slots.

There is also good news for fans of IGT’s rapidly expanding range of online slots too, even if it looks set to be taking place in a land based environment first. If we had to pick a single brand that really characterises the online range of licensed games, then Wheel of Fortune would be it. IGT has announced that part of their new line at G2E will be based around the 20th Anniversary of their official Wheel of Fortune slots. Among the new releases to look forward to are Wheel of Fortune Double Times Pay 3D, Wheel of Fortune Gold Spin Double Diamond and Wheel of Fortune Wheel Across America – California Coast.

As noted, these are each set to be land based releases first off, primarily because they do an excellent job of showing off some of the great hardware that the company is known for. Wheel of Fortune Double Times Pay 3D, for example, will be stationed in the impressive AXXIS 3D cabinet. However, IGT has always done a pretty excellent job of converting these titles for online play. With the Wheel of Fortune Wheel Across America range being designed in a similar vein, we can assume that it will only be a matter of time before these titles become available on desktops and potentially also across mobile devices.

Online IGT fans will also be pleased to hear of a number of developments across their interactive gaming channels too. They will be showcasing their own Triple Play offering, which brings together real money, fun play and the PlaySpot platform all in one place. This makes it even easier to deliver games to content partners, and also provides the potential for thorough game management and marketing tools in one package. Put simply, the online and offline ranges could be converging like never before and the best place to keep an eye on all the new online IGT slots.

We’ll leave the final word to Renato Ascoli, IGT CEO North America Gaming and Interactive, who commented: “At G2E 2016, IGT will reveal a vast portfolio of gaming innovations that embody our disciplined approach to product design and development. This show will represent our firm commitment to providing our customers with the most compelling casino entertainment across multiple categories and platforms. We have introduced a host of new technologies to ensure that IGT is bringing forward the most innovative products that the gaming industry has ever seen.”
