Online Casino Payment Options UK

Online casino payments are something of a hot topic at the moment, especially in the UK. New regulations are about to be unveiled outlawing credit card deposits. The powers that be clearly don’t thing that the industry is beset by enough red tape already. While this doesn’t exactly sound the death knell of the iGaming industry, operators will now be relying more on alternative methods such as e-wallets and specialist online transaction services. Here’s a run-down of the most popular ones.

PayPal

This is the grand-daddy of online transaction services and has been with us since the late 1990s. As one of the largest payment processor in the world, PayPal allows you to send and receive money via a safe and secure web-based account. You just provide your name, password and a debit/credit card. There’s absolutely no requirement to provide personal/financial information which therefore makes for faster payments. What’s more, deposits are usually processed far quicker with PayPal casinos than via some of the other services mentioned here.

Neteller

Neteller is an e-money transfer service established in 1999. Widely used by online casino gamers, it has grown to become one of the most trusted payment platforms in the business. With convenience firmly in mind, Neteller enables users to securely send and receive funds instantly. After registration, the user merely credits his/her account through either a debit or credit card. A small transaction fee is the only downside, although this isn’t always applied.

Skrill

Like Neteller, Skrill has also built a solid reputation for itself in the world of online gambling. It’s also widely available and can be used to make deposits in 40 countries. Account setup and registration, as with most e-wallet services is relatively painless – all that’s needed is a name (always helpful), a password, a memorable security question and valid photo ID. Once this is out of the way, funds can then be transferred safely and without extra hassle.

Trustly

Trustly is a relative newcomer having launched in 2008. However, in the past decade or so since then, the service has expanded to more than 20 European countries including the United Kingdom. To use the service, it’s usually a case of selecting it as your preferred payment option. Assuming you’ve completed the registration process and then confirmed a particular transaction, your funds will be available to spend. Trustly also works even if your bank isn’t listed as a partner. Bear in mind though, that transactions will likely take a bit longer.

Zimpler

Zimpler has a slightly different MO to the other options mentioned here. But it’s no less secure. The service allows users to store a collection of payment methods in a virtual account, thus affording easy, convenient access. The only thing required to register is a mobile number. Once inputted, an SMS text message is sent your mobile with a verification code. After your desired transaction amount has been entered as well as the code, your payment is then processed.

Remember to always play at a casino with a license. Check for a UKGC licensehere.
